Qatari citizens enter the Kingdom of Morocco without a visa and they can stay for three months.
To facilitate the passage of these persons in the customs border point two passages were created

According to the recommendations of the international agreements on the facilitation of movement of people and the temporary importation of goods, and in the context of work carried out by the Moroccan authorities in order to receive foreign tourists (and MREs) who wish to spend their holidays in Morocco, it was decided to authorize these benefit - with the exception of students and street vendors - from system temporary import, which allows the importation of a personal use goods without the usual performance fees. The following is an inventory of these goods:
- Personal clothing
- Tobacco (200 cigarettes or 100 cigars a medium-sized, or 50 cigars, or 250 grams of collateral materials for these products).
- Alcoholic beverages (bottle capacity litres).
- Jewellery, Perfume (capacity 150 ml bottle), and cologne (capacity 250 ml bottle).
- Souvenirs and gifts do not exceed a total value of 2000 dirham.
- Camera, binoculars or CD player.
- Recording machine, a radio, a TV, a laptop, camera, typewriter or calculator, portable computer, a mobile phone.
- Sport equipment.
- Portable music device.
- Bikes including bikes secondary engine.
At the end of this length of stay for people involved in the temporary import regime we have to re-export the goods mentioned above.
- Animals and products (subject to special procedures)
- Must provide a certificate showing the health status of the dogs and cats and birds and other pets.
- Should produce certificate showing the status of plant products.
- For the types of wild animals and plants endangered and as well as associated products (Washington Convention) must make CITES certificate received by the directorate of water and forests.
- To import hunting weapons and ammunition must obtain a license from the national security.
- For the importation of small quantities for personal use should give a statement of honour to the customs with medical evidence (medical certificate, prescription).
- Must obtain a license from the Ministry of Health for medicines that are not for personal use.
- Weapons and ammunition.
- Drugs.
- All things which include breach of morality and public order of the books and publications and audio tapes and video tapes.
- Moroccan authorities allow the temporary importation of means of transport for non-residents and for a period of three months in condition they are not used for commercial purposes.
- And in order to answer the request of people who want to celebrate the New Year in Morocco: It has decided to give those who have already benefited from the temporary import fee this year the possibility of introducing their cars starting from December 20 of the same year under the same system, to be deducted from the following year and in accordance with the same conditions identified continuous or intermittent residence.
What can a non-resident in Morocco export
- Moroccan products (traditional industry or other products) that have been purchased in Morocco and that, without specifying the value. And it is recognized this purchase by giving a bond exchange or international or other means of credit card.
- Memorabilia.
- Plastic stones, or semi-precious stones, in condition that they not exceed dozens.
What can a non-resident in Morocco export with making the necessary measures
- Artifacts and archaeological in condition of obtaining a license from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
NB: Due to the impossibility of conducting a detailed inventory of the things being used should determine the quantities and values through the social status of those concerned as evidenced by their passports or any other indicators.
In case of doubt the customs should make sure to match the aforementioned conditions, and then allow the passage of goods in case of acceptance.
- Dirham is the currency of Morocco, and is strictly prohibited to import or export.
- Citizens residing in Morocco can exchange imported currencies freely against the dirham in banks or institutions authorized like (hotels and exchange offices).
- In the case of currency exchange rate against the dirham they have to keep the bond exchange, they produce this document in the case of re-buy the currency at the bank, including remaining in the possession of dirhams.
If they wish to re-export currency imported or part of them, it is advisable to carry out immediately after the entry into Morocco registration statement stating Import and methods of payment.
